After a whirwind puppy filled summer and a huge 2026 National Specialty attendance and an economy that is putting stress on everything, we have decided to cancel our breeding plans for Pinot to Hank for the Fall of 2026. We will be working on our breeding plans for 2027 and will post them when we decide to move forward.
Here at Cobalt, raising puppies is a huge commitment and requires dedication and time and with the economy in the state that it is in, we are re-evaluating where we need to put our time and effort so that we can make sure every person and dog in our home’s needs are being fulfilled.
We do currently have a young one year old blue female that I am looking to place, she would do well in a family home. She has been well socialized and has 6 weeks of obedience training, She is fully crate trained. This girl would love to be your best frieend and loves men, women and kids. She has points, including a Major with AKC in conformation and could go to a showhome on a co-ownership, or to an active pet home with a spay agreement part of her purchase price. She would do wondeful with agility, barn hunt etc. She is passionate about people and has an adventurous spirit. Her biggest fault is that she likes to jump onto people and things like tables, chairs etc. she does not jump on little kids though and gets along fabulously with them. It is exuberance mostly, but she would do best with someone who appreciates it about her and finds a great way to redirect the behavior. She has been an outside-during-the-day dog and crate at night and will require some minor training to adjust to being a full- time house dog, but she will be a good one worth the effort. She is not a dog that came back from a situation that did not work out but rather a show prospect I have held onto for myself and her and I are not quite the right match for eachother, so I would like to see her be in a home where she thrives.
To a show/co-ownership home her price is $2500.00, to a pet home her price is $1500.00 and an agreement to get her spayed within 6 months.
